    Well Traveled Road

    You tell me
That by walking the same road,
    You see more each time.
    Possibly. . .
    Minute details appear
    That your mind was unable
    To comprehend the first,
    Second or third time.
    But does that logically erase
    The possibility of another route?
I wonder what an alternate path
    Has to offer?

    Paths I, iv

Love of one can be a vacuum,
       An entangled web zealously spun
That locks into the narrow sphere
       The unity that is illusion.
When the union grows we resume
Our direction and walk not crawl
          Up the path to find light of day;
The million sounds that reach our ear
Tell of new molds to semi-fired clay.
In the wind seeds randomly fall
Manifesting flowers in bloom. . .
Our feelings shared in one and all
Is the growth toward Love Universal.

    Bird or Dog

    For years we have acted
    And been treated like—
    Dogs.

    We are as free
    As the soaring eagle;
    As active as a
    Hummingbird,
Yet we wallow in the mud
    Of our own making, like
    Hogs.

    Paths I, i

I leave the world of thoughts supine!
To see the twilight of desire
Mirrored in the changed face I meet
Helps reduce the heat of passion’s fire
    While dwelling anew beyond time
In a vision’s view of beauty rare.
          Through infant eyes of clarity
The virgin worlds of this life, greet
          All past reflections placidly;
Ascending new heights on the stair,
Come to rest at the balance line
       Between minds laid openly bare
And mature fetters of dead despair.

    Pear Blossoms

    A chickadee messenger warns
Of grosbeaks waiting by the feeder
    In a hypothermic daze.
Late April. Wind, rain, sleet and hail
    Hasten the daffodils demise.
    Now, tulips are reluctant,
    Oriental poppies terrified.

With seed and wood in short supply
I try to calculate the number
Of times the hourglass must be turned
    Before the pear blossoms appear.

    The Stage of Life

    THE STAGE OF LIFE

    Emerging
Through a crack in the mask
    Is Life’s full potential
    Striving to break through
    Beyond a persona
    Wandering in shadows
    To ultimately become
    The One that I AM
    When finally knowing
    I AM One
    With the ONE

    Paths IA, x

    A wedding of diverse forces
       Within the newly evolved Man
       Creates an everlasting fire
       Where the flickering flame began.
Our journey’s return to the source
       Is often difficultly slow;
          Becoming heaven’s instrument
We soon lose our earthly desire,
          While donning the sacred garment
       Of His ever eternal flow.
Once on the straight and narrow course
The Man Divine must surely grow
       From celestial embryo.

    Paths II, vi

    Revolution can be
    The destructive process
    Which will begin ending
    Darkness’ fearful night
    And show life’s direction
    Toward cherished paths of Light.
