Yet chill winds still blow around the planet.
Except prayers to a savior arriving in the clouds
Or a welcome to beings from distant galaxies,
Jingoism’s omnipresent message
Offers little, if any, forum for earthly appeal,
Condemning unbelievers in peace through strength,
And peacekeeper weapons of mass destruction
To peeking at the future from assigned ratholes.
