Moving ever further
From the place of her birth
The mature planet Earth
Soon found herself at home
In life’s generating zone

Her maternal nature called
And she answered by conceiving
And birthing daughter Luna
To illumine the nights
For future generations
Of lonely inhabitants
Who would ride on her back
Under the watchful eye
And protective warmth
Of their father’s light
