For Nani

Don’t postpone living
   Until another day,
For even darkness of night
   Can’t keep the dawn away.

The morning’s first light
   Touches each and every
   In its own unique way.
With our newborn sight
We learn from all in view
   That it’s a poor day
   That doesn’t teach us
      Something new.
